Nia King – Piano, Saxophone
Nia is a second-year music education student at SUNY Buffalo State. She is a multi-instrumentalist with her primary instrument being piano and her secondary being saxophone, which she plays in the Buffalo State Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Saxophone Ensemble.
In 2024, Nia was a participant in the NYSSMA Area-All state Jazz Band as lead alto saxophone. In 2025, Nia won the John Philip Soussa Award as well as the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award at Mount Saint Mary Academy honoring her dependability, musicianship, and leadership.
